Anthony is the Chief Executive Officer of Lochard Energy. He has over 20 years of experience at major companies in the Australian and US energy markets. Prior to joining Lochard Energy, he was on the executive management team of AGL where he had responsibility for Australia’s largest generation portfolio; as well as wholesale trading and the Business Customers Group.
Steve Brent BComm (Hons), LLB (Hons)
Chief Financial Officer
Steve is the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Lochard Energy. He has over 20 years’ experience in finance and corporate strategy, with many years of involvement with the energy sector in Australia and internationally. Prior to joining Lochard he led various sector teams including several years leading the Australian upstream oil and gas team at Macquarie Capital. Steve achieved first class honours in his major in accounting and finance.
Jenny Smith BA, MA, MAppSc
GM People & Safety
Jenny is the GM of People and Safety at Lochard Energy. Jenny has over 10 years’ experience in the energy industry as a human resources professional. Prior to joining Lochard Energy she held human resource generalist and specialist consulting roles at Origin Energy, AGR (a Global Energy Services company) and in local government.
Becky Nguyen BEng (Electrical), MAppFin
GM Commercial
Becky is the GM of Commercial at Lochard Energy. She has over 20 years’ experience as a Commercial professional in the Energy Industry. Prior to joining Lochard Energy, she held a variety of commercial management roles in upstream companies such as Santos and Cooper Energy, as well as Integrated Energy Companies including AGL, Origin and Energy Australia.
Tim Jessen BEng (Chemical)(Hons), BSc
GM Major Projects & Technical Services
Tim is the GM of Major Projects for & Technical Services at Lochard Energy. He has 18 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry where he has worked on major onshore and offshore projects both in Australia and internationally. His expertise covers the full project delivery lifecycle; from field development planning and front end engineering design, through to construction, commissioning and operations. Prior to joining Lochard Energy, Tim worked for Origin Energy where he held a variety of senior roles including several years managing Origin’s Otway and BassGas Gas Assets.
Bart Simes MBA, BComm, Adv Dip Eng
Head of New Energy
Bart is the head of Lochard Energy’s new energy division and responsible for diversifying the company into new areas of business which include electricity firming/storage and renewable hydrogen. Bart’s career began as a technician in Australia’s defence forces, but after further studies in engineering and business, he has spent the past 20-years pioneering the clean energy space both here and overseas. This has included running of operations and maintenance for Vestas, leading General Electric’s market entry in wind and managing Downer’s pre-contract operations for the EPC of utility-scale solar, wind and storage.
Josh McKenzie BEng (Hons), BSc
Head of Operations
Josh is the Head of Operations at Lochard Energy’s Iona Gas Plant. He has 19 years of experience in operations in both pharmaceuticals and predominantly oil and gas.
Prior to joining Lochard Energy in 2018, Josh was the Operations Manager at the Otway Gas Plant in South West Victoria responsible for running an onshore facility with supplied gas from both onshore wells and an offshore platform.
